After recieving a strange invitation you find yourself at an old hotel inhabited by a number of characterful ghosts! Can you escape?
The Howling Hotel was the first escape room board game produced by Crated With Love and the first that I have worked on. Every element of the design provided a clue or served to be intentionally misleading, which meant some careful planning and collaberation with the game designers.
The artworks were hand drawn before being digitally rendered using some chalky style paint brushes. The spooky colour scheme helped to give the theme its ghostly feel.
The final delivery for the project featured a lot of different elements, some of which were: the game box (the design wrapped the whole box, giving a full 3D view of the Howling Hotel) , an instructional booklet, a clue booklet, ghost illustrations, a card deck, a dining table artwork and a Howling Hotel Logo.
